Rust Dashboard
About Rust Dashboard
We read the public Rust server list every five minutes. Each server is asked what it is doing.
Rust Dashboard exists because the in-game browser does not tell you much about a server before you join it. The site takes the public Rust server list from Steam, including names, player counts, queues and the tags servers publish themselves. It also asks each server directly for its map seed, FPS and entity count. Some servers do not answer, so those show only what Steam reports.
From those two sources we keep live player counts, wipe times, ranks and population history for every public server. That lets you look for a wipe today, a busy server in your region or a group limit that suits you. You can check which servers are online now, what wiped recently or the full server list without joining a dead server first.
Ranks use players over the past week, hour by hour. A server that stays busy every day sits above one that fills for a single evening after a wipe. The lists are ordered by player count, never by payment. Rust Dashboard is independent and run by Rust players. It is not affiliated with Facepunch Studios, and nothing here is endorsed by them. Server names, descriptions and images belong to the people who run those servers.
Everything on the site comes from what servers publish about themselves. If a figure about your server looks wrong, the fix is usually in the server's own settings, and any change shows within about five minutes. If it still looks wrong, write to hello@rustdashboard.space.
Questions
3 questionsWhere does Rust Dashboard get its server data?
The site reads Steam's public Rust server list every five minutes for names, player counts, queues and tags. It also queries each server directly for map seed, FPS and entity count where the server replies. Servers that do not answer show only the Steam data.
Is Rust Dashboard part of Facepunch?
No. Rust Dashboard is an independent site run by Rust players. It is not affiliated with Facepunch Studios, and Facepunch does not endorse it. Rust itself and the server software belong to Facepunch.
How are servers ranked?
Ranks are based on player counts over the past week, measured hour by hour. A server that stays busy day after day ranks above one that fills up for a single evening. Position in the lists is never sold; payment does not change the order.
